Updated:MARION COUNTY, Fla. —
Weeks before it is set to become a state park, renovations of the Silver Spring's attraction have come to a halt.
Environmental officials said the park has more problems than expected, including high levels of arsenic in certain areas of soil.
Those problems will have to be resolved before work can continue.
Officials said the $4 million upgrade will likely be halted until the park is taken over by the state on Oct. 1.
