ORLANDO, Fla. - The dead animal carcasses found by the walking trail near an Orlando neighborhood and bank on Curry Ford Road have been cleaned up.
Channel 9 learned about the pile of animal carcasses after a viewer contacted Eyewitness News.
The homeowner’s association of the neighborhood near the site off Inside Loop promised the animals would be cleaned up.
The second pile near Fifth Third Bank was also cleaned up.
The Florida Department of Health said it’s given the land owner a week to clean up the carcasses, but said it would step in quickly without action.
Channel 9 is working to determine if the property owner cleaned the site, or if the DOH was forced to act.
Orange County deputies confirmed it had opened an investigation aimed at catching the person who dumped the carcasses.
