Deputies search for 6 Metro PCS burglars in Orange Co.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies are looking for six young burglars who were caught on surveillance cameras breaking into a Metro PCS store in Orange County.

The surveillance video shows a group of suspects, who deputies said may be juveniles, approaching the store on North Orange Blossom Trail in late July. One of burglars throws a block through the window and they climb into the store one at a time.

In the video, the burglars run and skip around the store looking for items to steal.

"It looks like they're having a lark, but this is not a game. They caused serious damage to these businesses and we want people to call us and we want to make arrests," said Jane Watrel, with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. “This video is crystal clear.”

One of the burglars grabs the cash register drawer, which deputies said had only $100 in it, while the others take cellphones and a wireless speaker.

Less than two hours after the Metro PCS burglary, investigators said the T-Mobile store on South Orlando Avenue in Winter Park was broken into. That store's surveillance video shows what appears to be the same six suspects wearing the same clothes.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office.
