Updated:OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. —
Deputies are working to find out how many people's personal information may have been stolen by skimming devices that were found at several gas stations in Osceola County.
The skimming devices were found inside gas pumps at a 7-Eleven in Kissimmee, and a Shell and Circle K in St. Cloud, according to deputies.
"We were notified by the gas station management. They were checking their equipment and they noticed these skimming devices on their gas pumps," said Twis Lizasuain, with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
The men who deputies said installed the devices were caught on surveillance cameras and the Osceola County Sheriff's Office is calling them persons of interest. Deputies said the men may have stolen personal information and credit card numbers to possibly make purchases at stores in Orlando.
"That's kind of scary. It would suck if they used all my money," a customer at one of the gas stations said.
At some pumps there's a security seal and investigators said if it's broken, customers are warned not to use the pump because it may have been tampered with.
