KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Some part-time workers at Disney will now have the opportunity to be full ime, but union officials aren't excited about the deal.
Disney part-timers are usually scheduled no more than 25 hours a week, but can
pick up extra shifts.
Officials said 427 employees have worked enough hours over the past year to be eligible for
full time under the federal Affordable Care Act.
However, union officials said those part-timers would jump over other workers who have been at the company longer, but may not have worked as many hours.
