POLK COUNTY, Fla. - Drivers on the western end of the Polk Parkway will notice a change Tuesday.
The speed limit between Interstate 4 and the Central Toll Plaza will be raised to 65 m.p.h.
Officials said current speed limits on the remainder of the parkway will remain the same, including the 55 m.p.h. speed limit between Old Dixie Highway and Exit 24.
The higher speed limit is not in effect until the new signs are posted, officials said.
