Standoff ends after man armed with gun barricades self in Altamonte Springs home

A standoff with a man in Altamonte Springs ended peacefully Friday afternoon.

A man believed to have been suffering from a medical condition barricaded himself in his Oak Hollow Way home in the Country Creek Estates.

Police said the man's wife called 911 and said her husband grabbed a gun before heading into a bedroom.

Police were able to go into the home and talk the man out.  No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

Residents that were evacuated have since been allowed to return to their homes.

There's no word on whether charges will be filed.
