Police ID suspect after 2 Valencia College students shot

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities have identified a suspect a day after two men were shot at an apartment complex near the University of Central Florida.

Orange County deputies said Vincent Cruz, 20, and Antwon Ollis, 19, were both shot Monday night and drove themselves away from the scene.

On Tuesday, police identified 19-year-old Cortez Glover, of Jacksonville, as a suspect in the shooting.

The two victims were able to drive themselves out of the complex. They met up with police and were eventually rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Their injuries are not life-threatening, authorities said.

Cruz and Ollis are both students at Valencia College, authorities said. The shooting happened on the first day of a new semester.

One woman at the apartment complex told WFTV she heard at least six shots.

"I just came outside and I didn't see anything else," said Ajanee Jackson, "I just seen shoes on the ground and somebody's window shot out."

Investigators believe Glover may have headed back to Jacksonville. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact authorities.
