Suspect says he bought 300 grams of cocaine off Nora's Sugar Shack owner

ORLANDO, Fla. — The owner of a well-known Orlando establishment is accused of selling drugs out of his business, according to police.

On Monday, police pulled over Jason Brugos on a traffic stop after he left Nora's Sugar Shack. Inside the vehicle, police said they found nearly 300 grams of cocaine.

Brugos told police he bought it from the business owner, Nora Brooker, for $8,000 in cash.

But Brooker said that's not the case and that police found nothing when searching her home.

"They found nothing," she said. "They looked, they searched, they did everything they possibly could do, and there's nothing here."

Brooker said police also served a warrant at her home, but he said she's never sold cocaine.

"Never, ever, ever, ever, ever," said Brooker.

"Do you know Jason Brugos?" asked Channel 9's Jeff Deal.

"No, I don't know Jason Brugos," Brooker said.

"He says you sold him $8,000 worth of cocaine," said Deal.

"He's crazy," said Brooker.

Brugos, didn't answer his door. He's been arrested on drug charges before.

Brooker later said he knows the man as "Jay," and said Jay picked up tools from his business. He insisted the cocaine claims aren't true.

"I would never do this," said Brooker. "There's no reason to do this. That person needs to go away."

Brooker has not been arrested.

Brugos has been released on $100,000 bond.
