Sand Lake Road reopens after suspicious device reported


ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Sand Lake Road was closed at Chancellor Drive while Orange County Sheriff's deputies investigate a suspicious device Friday afternoon.

Deputies were called to the Bank of America at 2293 W. Sand Lake Road after a backpack was found in a trash can.

The sheriff's hazmat team responded to the bank.

The bank building, just west of South Orange Blossom Trail was been evacuated, according to deputies.

Around 2:30 p.m. deputies reopened the road.
