Christmas post office reopens following suspicious envelope investigation

CHRISTMAS, Fla. — The post office in Christmas was shut down Tuesday afternoon while deputies investigated a reported suspicious envelope.

The bomb squad from the Orange County Sheriff's Office was sent to the post office after a postal worker reported the envelope.

According to officials, the envelope contained religious writings on it and had no return address.

The post office was shut down about 1:30 p.m.

Deputies said they believe they know who dropped off the envelope. They said there were business documents inside that envelope.

Deputies cleared the scene and reopened the post office around 4:30 p.m.
