Teacher accused of distributing child porn suspended, held on no bond

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Suspended Volusia County teacher Matthew Graziotti remained in the Seminole County Jail Tuesday on no bond.

The Warner Christian Academy teacher was arrested Monday after investigators said thousands of images of child pornography were found on his home computer.

According to federal authorities, Graziotti had a folder titled "personally known" on his computer and it contained a photo of him sexually abusing a young boy.

The school placed the 42-year-old on unpaid suspension following his arrest.

Parent David Jimenez told WFTV his two daughters attended the academy nearly eight years ago and at one point he complained about Graziotti.

"We had complained that he had taken his shirt off in the classroom after class, and in front of my daughter and another student. We felt that was inappropriate," Jimenez said.

Jimenez said he believed the school didn't take his complaint seriously.

"We went for an interview with the principal at the time. He dismissed our complaint. Mr. Graziotti was a pastor and a father," Jimenez said.

Graziotti was a former youth pastor at Edgewater Alliance Church and was also a committee member for the Boy Scouts in Volusia County. The church said his membership has been suspended and Boy Scouts officials said Graziotti won't be allowed to participate at any level.
