Teen girl accidentally shoots self at Brevard gun range

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - A teenager is hospitalized after accidentally shooting herself in the leg at a Brevard County gun range, authorities said.
 

According to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, the girl was at the Merritt Island gun range with her father Thursday afternoon when her handgun accidentally fired one shot.
 
Authorities said the teen was hit by a bullet in the thigh. She was flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The sheriff's office said the shooting was accidental and there will not be an investigation.
