ARLINGTON, Tx - A 54-year-old elementary school principal in North Texas visiting family in Florida has been arrested in an online child sexual predator sting.
Palm Beach County jail records show Stephen Anthony Paulsen was being held Thursday on charges of using a computer to solicit and lure a child, traveling to meet or lure a child and transmitting harmful information to a minor.
Paulsen, a principal at Morton Elementary School in Arlington, resigned after Tuesday's arrest in Boynton Beach, Fla.
Documents from Boynton Beach police indicate Paulsen began chatting online last week with someone he thought was a boy under age 16. An affidavit says an undercover officer continued the conversations and received sexually explicit photos from Paulsen.
The Texan was arrested while trying to meet the person he thought was a boy.
