VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A Volusia County school board meeting, postponed following unspecified
threats, was rescheduled for Nov. 18.
Demonstrators hoped to discuss a world history textbook at a meeting last week.
They argued the book devoted an entire chapter to Islam while other
religions, including Christianity and Judaism, were mentioned only briefly.
The school board said it will set up special guidelines so everyone who wants to talk about the textbook will get the chance.
