PALM BAY, Fla. - A parent of a youth sports league alleges thousands of dollars of its money has gone missing.

Video from YouTube shows the excitement of Palm Bay Pirates football.

The Palm Bay youth athletic association is a popular organization that sports seven football teams and five cheerleading teams that compete against other leagues across Brevard County.

There are major concerns about money Thursday.

A parent said league money is missing.

Current board president Earl Tullis referred to Palm Bay Police. Officers confirmed a complaint was filed alleging thousands of dollars are missing.

A board member said the league owes around $11,000 for uniforms but doesn't have the money to pay it.

The parent who tipped off Eyewitness news says they were called to an emergency meeting where the current president was crying and there were concerns the league could be in jeopardy of folding.
