TAMPA, Fla. - Three endangered Malayan tiger cubs were born at Busch Gardens Tampa, and one of the three cubs is in serious condition due to a rare feline skin disease.
The three cubs were born March 31.
A Busch Gardens news release said Malayan tigers are rare and there are only about 500 in the wild in Southeast Asia.
Park officials said the cubs were being cared for by veterinarians, along with tiger parents Bzui and Mata. The cubs will be slowly introduced to the park's tiger habitat in about a month.
One of the cubs is getting treatment for anemia and a rare but benign skin condition.
