Tractor-trailer hauling bottles of iced tea hit by Amtrak train in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A tractor-trailer carrying bottles of iced tea was hit by an Amtrak train in Kissimmee, according to the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened Friday night before 7:30 p.m. on Old Tampa Highway and South Poinciana Boulevard.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated for minor injuries.

No one on the Amtrak train was injured.

Pictures show the trailer portion of the tractor-trailer split in half and caused debris to be scattered all over the roadway.

Troopers said charges are pending.

The names of those involved have not been released.
