VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - Troopers said a woman, who was involved in a crash on I-95, was struck and killed after she got out of her vehicle and tried to cross the road Friday night.
The 61-year-old victim, whose name hasn't been released, was involved in a separate crash on northbound I-95 in Ormond Beach shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Troopers said the woman got out of her vehicle and attempted to cross the northbound lanes. The victim was initially hit by an oncoming Chrysler Sebring driven by 59-year-old Diane McFarland, according to FHP. Troopers said a Ford Mustang, driven by 39-year-old Heather Lippert, also hit the victim.
