Two arrested after marijuana grow house bust

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Neighbors were shocked when a marijuana grow house was discovered in their neighborhood and deputies said a 4-year-old was living in the home.

The Orange County home is on Peppertree Drive and authorities believes it's linked to other grow houses.

Resident Sonny Wong walked out of his home on Peppertree Drive and saw Sheriff's Office drug investigators raiding his neighbor's house.

"(They were) coming out with stuff, I don't know what," Wong said.

According to investigators, Yoendris Rodriguez and his wife Dayana Rodriguez was arrested in connection with the marijuana grow house.

"I've known it happened in a couple of neighborhoods, but I'd never known it would be just next to me," Wong said.

Neighbors said the family moved into the home a few months ago and were renters.

The home was raided as part of a multihouse drug operation, according to deputies. Investigators said they removed 36 marijuana plants and discovered electricity was being stolen.

Authorities wouldn't release details about the other homes involved in the investigation.
