FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. - Two teens on spring break from Michigan saved a couple from a burning car, Flagler County deputies said.
Cody Decker and Luke Vaughn, both 17, told deputies they were at the entrance of Canopy Walk in Palm Coast when they saw a vehicle crash and catch fire seconds after it sped past them on Tuesday.
Deputies said the teens pulled 42-year-old Carlos Adams and 44-year-old Tracy Lopez from the burning 2002 Jaguar.
One of the teens broke the glass and bent the door frame to get the couple out.
Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming said their quick action saved the couple.
The victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The teens were treated by rescue crews for minor injuries to their hands.
The teens are from Dewitt, Mich. The crash is under investigation.
