U-Haul carrying boxes of synthetic drugs found in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Sheriff's deputies have not identified a driver they said was behind the wheel of a 24-foot U-Haul truck filled with boxes of synthetic drugs.

Deputies said they pulled over the U-Haul on I-75 near mile marker 338, because it was swerving all over the roadway and they immediately knew something was wrong.

Deputies said they asked to search the vehicle and that's when they found what appeared to be an entire K-2 operation.

"It was filled with all the materials that's necessary for manufacturing K-2," said Judge Cochran of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. "We're glad that we got these folks off the streets."

Investigators found more than 400 grams of K-2 ready to sell, industrial grade mixers and other supplies needed to make the drug.
