Upscale Winter Park neighborhood locked down

WINTER PARK, Fla. — An upscale Winter Park neighborhood was shut down for several hours Monday night.

Police were called to a home off of Via Tuscany around 6:15 p.m. Monday to check on a man who was believed to be locked in the house with a gun.

Police had the neighborhood on lockdown for nearly three hours before discovering that the man had taken his own life.
