Volusia hit-and-run suspect accused of hitting two teenagers returns to jail

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A woman accused in a hit-and-run crash in DeLand that killed a teenage girl and injured another is back in jail again.

Danielle Halverson was arrested after failing to show up for her court hearing last week, authorities said.

Halverson is accused of hitting two teenage girls in March, killing 14-year-old Juliana Hobbs and injuring her best friend, Rachael Russell, on South Spring Garden Avenue

Halverson’s bond has been set at $100,000.
