WATCH: Body camera released shows indicted Oviedo officer shoot two people

Body camera video was released Thursday that shows the moments an Oviedo police officer shot a man and injured his wife.
Officer Matthew Danler was indicted by a grand jury for involvement in the shooting.
The charges stem from a Sept. 1 incident on Sharon Court, when someone called 911 and hung up.
When officers arrived, Jason Scott, 33, fled from a traffic stop in a vehicle and was revving his vehicle toward Danler, police said.
“When I pulled up, I heard this car revving. As I approached, he whipped on me and started coming at me, at which time I drew my weapon. He kept on me, so I went ahead and engaged,” Danler said in the body camera video.
Investigators said Danler fired several rounds into the car, injuring Scott and his wife. Both have since recovered.
Scott was initially charged with aggravated assault on an officer, but his attorney told Channel 9 on Wednesday that the charge was reduced to fleeing from an officer. He agreed to a plea deal in December.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Danler declined investigators' multiple requests to provide a statement about what happened.

Danler is on unpaid administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

He’s been charged with shooting into a vehicle and two counts of aggravated assault.
