TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis along with medical experts from Stanford and Harvard participated in a virtual roundtable to discuss evidence-based approaches to reopening schools and restaurants.
In a virtual roundtable with the governor, medical experts said they believe lockdowns are no longer an effective way to control the virus.

Experts also said they don’t believe that schools were vectors of transmissions for the virus, but children with symptoms should be sent home.
As of Thursday, there have been 693,040 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida.
