WINTER PARK, Fla. — A Winter Park woman has been arrested and charged with attempted homicide and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after she shot her husband twice, Seminole County deputies said.
The shooting happened Saturday at 9:47 p.m. on Hampshire Court, deputies said.
Tina Marie Poirier, 28, said she got into a verbal fight with her husband, Dennis Lugo, 48, because his mistress was pregnant with Lugo’s second child, deputies said.
Poirier grabbed a gun from the nightstand and shot Lugo in his right wrist and left side of his chest, deputies said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he’s in serious condition.
