DEBARY, Fla. — A 45-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder Monday after his ex-girlfriend was found dead in her home died under suspicious circumstances, Volusia County deputies said.

Deputies went to Lisa Bresie’s, 51, home Sunday afternoon on Lantana Drive in DeBary to do a well-being check, investigators said.

Deputies were at the home Sunday morning because her car was found Thursday morning in Pinellas County, and they wanted to talk to Bresie. Deputies left the home when no one answered the door, investigators said.

Deputies said Bresie's ex-boyfriend, Anton Lamar Sanders, was driving Bresie's car in Pinellas County. Investigators said he tried to jump off a bridge to kill himself.

Investigators announced late Monday that a bloody fingerprint ties Bresie's ex-boyfriend to her killing.
