ORLANDO, Fla. — Troopers are searching for a woman who ran a red light, crashed into a car and fled the scene on foot in west Orange County Sunday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The woman, who drove a 2002 Chevy Avalon, ran the red light going south on Hiawassee Road at Balboa Drive around 5:50 p.m., slamming into the front of a 2006 Ford SUV, sending it into another car.
The 61-year-old driver of the Ford was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending for the driver of the Chevy Avalon.
