MIAMI - Police say a woman died when she was pinned against a church wall by sports utility vehicle that went out of control.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon outside Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in southwest Miami-Dade County. Authorities say 73-year-old Nuris Better lost control of her vehicle about 4:30 p.m. outside the church's school.
The Miami Herald reports Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews cut down a palm tree to move the SUV. But 27-year-old Catalina Gomez Palaez was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
Police are investigating. The Herald reports Better has not been charged.
