DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A woman is in the hospital after being shot in the stomach Sunday morning in Daytona Beach, police said.
Police arrived on the 500 block of Spruce Street shortly about 11 a.m. and found the woman with a gunshot wound through her abdomen.
Police said the woman was shot with a handgun.
She was transported to Halifax Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Police said they were unsure if the gunshot was accidental and are still actively investigating the shooting.
