Woman stabbed to death during fight in Palm Bay, police say

PALM BAY, Fla. — One woman was stabbed to death and another was injured during a fight in Palm Bay Sunday afternoon, police said.

Three women got in a fight on Monroe Street around 1:15 p.m., police said.

Jackielyn English, 48, stabbed Nicole Rucker, 47, to death with a large kitchen knife at Rucker's apartment. She also stabbed Dolores English, her sister, who tried to intervene, police said.

The knife-wielding English is now in custody, police said.

Police said English was an acquaintance of Rucker.

The investigation is still active and police did not say how the fight started.

Police have yet to release the identities of those involved.
