The Walmart on Kirkman Road in Orlando became the scene of another disturbing crime targeting a random stranger, according to police.
Investigators said a man held a woman at gunpoint Sunday as she was unloading her cart in the parking lot. The man demanded money but when she told him she had none, he forced her inside the car and drove off, police said.
"I always watch my back when I'm shopping here, always do," customer Alex Orellana said.
Authorities said the woman put up a fight and began screaming, grabbing the attention of bystanders, which is when the man jumped from the car and ran away.
"She fought back, which is what I would do," said shopper Silverie Washington.
The woman wasn't injured. Police said they were unable to locate the armed robber after the incident.
"That's scary, because that was the broad open daylight," said shopper Kim George. "We just want to feel safe in our area, feel safe in our home."
This isn't the first crime to happen at the Kirkman Road Walmart. In early May, a man was seen on surveillance video exposing himself to a young girl in the electronics department.
