Police: Woman's car intentionally set on fire

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — An Ormond Beach woman’s car was intentionally set on fire early Saturday in what police are investigating as a hate crime.

Ormond Beach firefighters were dispatched at 5:45 a.m. and found a car parked on Biltmore Drive entirely engulfed in flames. Another nearby vehicle was also damaged.

Police found evidence at the scene that indicates the fire was set deliberately.

Linda Winn, the owner of the car, found a note by the door that she said referenced the KKK.

She lives on Biltmore Drive with five biracial grandchildren.

The state fire marshal is investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
