Workers find human remains while cutting trees near Ocala

FORT MCCOY, Fla. — Authorities in north Florida are investigating after human remains were found in a wood area near Fort McCoy.
 
The Ocala Star-Banner reports workers hired to cut trees found the bones on Monday. Detectives and deputies spend Tuesday searching the area for clues.
 
The remains and cause of death had not been determined by Tuesday evening.
 
Deputies are urging anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area off Northwest County Road 315 in Marion County to call Crime Stoppers or visit www.ocalacrimestoppers.com .
