Mount Dora police investigate convenience store robbery

MOUNT DORA, Fla. —

Mount Dora police said they are investigating a convenience store robbery that happened early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the 7-Eleven store on U.S. 441 around 1:30 a.m.

Investigators said a Hispanic man entered the store and went to the counter to buy something. According to police, the man pulled out a gun and demanded cash when the clerk opened the register.

The suspect ran out of the store with an unknown amount of cash, police said. The female clerk was not injured during the incident.

Police searched the area following the robbery, but the suspect was not found.

Investigators have released surveillance video of the robbery.
