25-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed During Strip Club Fight

A 25-year-old man was killed after a shooting outside an Orange County strip club late Wednesday night. Investigators said a fight started inside the Diamond Club on Semoran Boulevard near Hibiscus Road (see map) .

The fight escalated into the parking lot and ended with 25-year-old Christopher Jones of Orlando being shot and killed. Deputies said a third man, who was not involved in the fight, was hit by a stray bullet.

"We also have a second victim who was hit by stray gunfire. So we are just trying to put the pieces together to determine what we have here," said Sergeant Allen Lee of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said, based on witness reports, the victim was one of four men escorted out of the club earlier in the evening for arguing inside. The victim and suspect were seen arguing outside the club for 30 minutes before the suspect left, leaving the victim outside the club with the other two men who were kicked out.

According to witnesses, a white, 4-door sedan sped into the parking lot a short time later and a man, believed to be the man the victim had been arguing with, stepped out of the car, confronted the victim and shot him before fleeing the scene.

"We're very fortunate. We have a lot of witnesses, we are getting a lot of cooperation so we are very confident with what we have so far," Allen said.

Jones was taken to Florida East Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries just before midnight. Investigators said they were following a number of leads.
