Officials in New Smyrna Beach said they're looking for five people, four men and one woman, involved in a convenience store robbery early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. at TK's Right Stop on North Dixie Freeway.

Surveillance video shows a man with a shaved head, tattoos and a red shirt walking into the store with a woman wearing jeans with sunglasses on her head.

According to police, the man started arguing with the clerk.

As the woman hopped up on the counter, the man grabbed the clerk by the neck and threw him to the ground.

While he was holding the clerk down, surveillance video shows the woman grabbed the store's cash box.

In the middle of the robbery, police said two other men unexpectedly walked into the store.

"We saw two customers enter the store and kind of break up the robbery, so it didn't last as long as the robbers intended," said Sgt. Eugene Griffith of the New Smyrna Beach Police Department.

Police said the pair fled in a car with three other people inside.

Police did not say how much money the crooks got away with, but they believe the motive was drug-related.

"A lot of people are trying to feed that drug habit and that's probably a good reason [for] what happened with this robbery," Griffith said.

Wednesday’s robbery was the third at the store in 18 months.

The clerk was not injured in the robbery.

Police said the getaway car was likely a dark, newer-model Chevy -- possibly a Cobalt or a Sonic.

Investigators said the suspects were described as:

1. A white male, approximately 30 to 35 years of age, between 5-feet 10-inches and  6-feet tall, with a muscular build, weighing between 200 and 220 pounds. He has multiple tattoos on his arms, and the victim knows the man as "Joe."
2. A white female, approximately 30 to 35 years of age, approximately  5-feet 5-inches and  5-feet 7-inches tall and weighing about 140 to 150 pounds. The victim knows her as "Heather."
3. A white male, approximately 30 to 40 years of age, between  5-feet 10-inches and  6-feet tall and weighing between 220 to 240 pounds. He was bald and had some facial hair.
4. A white male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age with brown hair.
5. A white male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age.
