Billy Lane Expected To Accept Plea Deal

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. —

Motorcycle builder Billy Lane is now expected to plead guilty to a crash that killed a motorcyclist in 2006.

Lane's attorneys say he will agree to a plea deal in court Tuesday. As part of the deal, prosecutors have agreed to drop the DUI manslaughter charge.

At the time of the crash, investigators say Lane's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. He'll be sentenced in August and could receive nine years in prison.
