Candidate For Judge Accused Of Pitching Opponent's Sign

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —

Prosecutor will start looking into a case, Friday, that alleges some dirty dealing in a campaign for Orange County Judge.

An eyewitness told Channel Nine that he saw a man tossing a Martha Adams campaign sign onto an Apopka street and replacing it with a Joe Johnson campaign sign.

The witness, Dennis New, later picked the alleged sign stealer out of a line-up. The man he picked was candidate Joe Johnson.

“I don't know either one of them. I just don't think it's right in this democratic society for someone to take a campaign sign and pitch it to the side of the road,” said New in a phone interview with Eyewitness News.

Joe Johnson denied the allegation.
