I-4 reopens in Volusia after crash involving semi

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —

The Florida Highway Patrol has reopened the westbound lanes of I-4 in Deltona after a crash Saturday evening.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-4 near Dirksen Drive around 7:30 p.m.

Officials said the crash involved a jack-knifed semi truck and at least one overturned vehicle.

Volusia County fire rescue said two patients were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Westbound traffic was backed up for several miles in the hours following the crash. The roadway has since reopened and traffic has cleared.
