ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Cadilia Juste was badly beaten and just got out of the hospital. Her attacker was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
"He would have killed me and raped me," Juste said through an interpreter.
Still, Juste said Disney threatened to fire her if she didn’t show up for work.
Juste is still in pain from last week’s attack. She told Channel 9 a fellow employee at Disney’s Pop Century Resort attacked her in one of the rooms she was cleaning.
Juste said the suspect, 26-year-old Hasan Tashpulatov, choked her, hit her and tried to climb on top of her, but she was able to fight him away and run for help.
After three days in the hospital, Juste is back home, but not feeling well enough to work. She said, earlier this week, a boss at Disney told her if she didn’t return the next day she would lose her job.
Disney said it believes it must be a language barrier problem and is trying to help the victim get through this.
Tashpulatov has been suspended from the job pending the outcome of his case.
