Doctor Crashes Corvette Into Neighbor's Home

An Ocala eye doctor was arrested after she crashed her Corvette into a neighbor's home. Photos show (see them) where the car crashed into the front door of the home on Southwest 33rd Street.

Police say Dr. Faith Sarfarazi lost control of her car and crossed several lawns before crashing into her neighbor's house.

Nine people were inside the home at the time. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital with cuts they got from flying glass.

The doctor's husband said the car's accelerator got stuck and that his wife simply panicked.

"She's trying to figure out what to do, how to get the release, because she's going very fast, the car is going really fast, twisting around and around," said Paul Sarfarazi, the suspect's husband.

After the crash, Dr. Sarfarazi drove to her home. She has been charged with leaving the scene of the crash and property damage.
