ORLANDO, Fla. —

An elderly man took down two robbers trying to hold up a Walgreen's, Saturday night.

Orlando police said the two suspects walked around the pharmacy on North Lane and picked up a few items before taking them to the clerk for a price check. Investigators said one of the suspects pulled out a gun and demanded cash.

"I grabbed him in a bear hug. We wrestled around and fell back onto the counter. He slammed me in the mouth and stuck the gun to my head and said 'I'll shoot'," said Helmly. "My reaction was shoot! I knew it was a fake gun," said Helmly.

Helmly suffered a minor hear injury from the struggle. He was treated and released on the scene.

Officers were still looking for the suspects, who took off empty-handed.
