Employee Files Lawsuit Against Bill Heard Chevrolet

The employee claims the now-bankrupt dealership violated federal labor laws last month when the company fired thousands of people across the country, including 300 in Sanford.

Employees say they were sent home without warning and later found out their medical insurance may have been cut off days earlier.

"We paid our premiums to the company for our health insurance, and now they are telling us it's no good," former employee Ed Nash said in September.

Attorneys are seeking class action status, hoping to convince all former Bill Heard workers to join the lawsuit.
