The stunning Art Deco facility is home to over 40 rare and vintage aircraft many of which have been restored to flyable condition. Fantasy of Flight, Central Florida's premier aviation-themed attraction, offers a variety of daily activities from up-close encounters with war-time aircraft to immersion environments where visitors can experience everything from man's earliest attempts at flight to the WWI trenches on the Western Front. Take a ride through the grounds on a guided tour including visits the vintage plane restoration facilities and maintenance areas.
Experience Fun with Flight, a hands-on, interactive family center that introduces the basics of flight through a variety of stations. Visitors from eight to eighty can design and test paper airplane creations, pilot a state-of-the-art hang gliding simulator and even play the role of a Naval Aviator, combating in an aerial battle video game in Fightertown.

Fantasy of Flight is one of the only - if not, the only - place you can see an aerial demonstration featuring one of the collection's 40 vintage and restored airplanes on display are performed daily, weather permitting. And if you're lucky, you might catch owner Kermit Weeks, a World Aerobatics Champion, piloting one of the attraction's vintage aircraft and performing an aerial demonstration or two.
For a chance to meet true American heroes, Fantasy of Flight brings American history to life with its popular "Living History Symposium Series." Guests have the opportunity to learn about significant historical World War II events from the men and women who defended our country through open forum/question-and-answer sessions that take place throughout the year. Some of the scheduled events include:
• "They Dared to Fly," A tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen, the first black pilots in the United States military history, in honor of Black History Month, February 19 & 20, 2010.
• "A Passionate Pursuit," WASP - Women Airforce Service Pilots - the first women to serve as pilots for the U.S. Military. The Symposium is held in honor of Women's History Month, March 26 & 27, 2010.
• "Victory in the Sky," American Fighter Aces of World War II share what is was like to shoot down five or more enemy aircraft while both were in the air and earn the title of an "Ace", May 14 & 15, 2010.
• "The Fearless Men of the Flying Fortress," B-17 pilots and its fighter escort pilots relive their daring daylight raids and share the secrets of formation flying, Oct. 15 & 16, 2010.
For guests with more of a need for speed, Fantasy of Flight hosts an assortment of events throughout the year that are sure to please.
• March 13 & 14, 2010: The Blue Max: Scale R/C Challenge and Fly-In -adjudicated static display and fly-in competition with awards for static display and aerial maneuvers.
• April 15, 2010: Sun 'n Fun's Splash-In - (held in conjunction with the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In) a variety of seaplanes and amphibious aircraft perform water landings and takeoffs.
• April 17, 2010: Mustangs & Mustangs - Showcases both Ford Mustang automobiles and P-51 Mustang war bird aircrafts.
• Nov. 13 & 14, 2010: 4th Annual Roar n' Soar - Signature two-day extravaganza of the land, sea and air.

Fantasy of Flight is located midway between Orlando and Tampa off I-4. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. General admission is $28.95 for adults, $26.95 for seniors ages 55 and over and $14.95 for children, ages 6-15, plus 7 percent sales tax. Annual passes are available for $69.95 for adults, $39.95 for children ages 6-15, plus 7 percent sales tax, and are good for one year from the date of purchase.
