Investigators said the so-called cherry picker rolled onto a septic tank bed, causing it to tip over.

It was a chance to show his son and daughter how to trim the tops of the pine trees in the family's Ocala yard. Theodore Visnecki borrowed the bucket lift from his work.

The three were 40 feet in the air, enjoying the view, when investigators said tragedy struck and the piece of equipment rolled into the septic tank of the residence, causing it to tip over. The father and his children were thrown from the bucket.

The bucket landed just four feet from a roadway and oncoming traffic. Visnecki died at the scene. His son, 20-year-old James Gary, was seriously injured and his 10-year-old sister, Ashley Moon, was taken to Shands Medical Center in Gainsville, also with serious injuries, including a possible broken leg.

Marion County sheriff's investigators finished their examination of the scene Sunday night.
