ORLANDO, Fla. —
Dozens of people from the group 'food, not bombs' blocked Central Boulevard near Summerlin Avenue Wednesday afternoon, outside the Urban Think bookstore where Mayor Buddy Dyer was having a fundraiser.
The group was protesting an Orlando city ordinance that prohibits feeding large groups of people in city parks.
"If he wants to shove city problems under the mat and push them aside, then we are going to address this situation directly," said Eric Montanez, a protestor.
The group was specifically there to get the mayor's attention, but the mayor walked out the back door of the store and did not address the crowd.
