I have been a reporter on the Eyewitness News Team since 1992 but have covered Central Florida and the Tampa area since 1986.

I was born near Pittsburgh where television news was a major influence. I grew up watching veteran news reporters (including women even in those days!) who were an inspiration. I graduated in 1979 from Pennsylvania State University with a Broadcast Journalism degree. My job combines everything that interests me: writing, learning something new every day, passing along new and helpful information to others, and talking!

With some former colleagues at Eyewitness News, I won an Emmy award for reporting on the breaking news story of a murder suspect who lead local deputies on a potentially deadly chase.

I love the great outdoors--snow skiing, snorkeling, power-walking and traveling; but I also enjoy theatre, movies and reading.
