Kissimmee House Fire Leads Investigators To Possible Drug Grow House

KISSIMMEE, Fla. —

Fire destroyed a million dollar, two story home on Lakeshore Boulevard in Kissimmee on Friday. Flames shot 50 to 60 feet in the air from the lakefront home. It took about a dozen engines and tankers to fight the fire.

“I was like oh my gosh, I hope no one was in that house when it happened,” said one neighbor.

Investigators said the house was unoccupied and under renovations, but the fire scene quickly turned into a possible crime scene. While investigators searched for the cause of the fire, they stumbled upon a possible marijuana grow house in a large shed on the property.

Shortly after they announced their discovery and undercover drug deputies showed up, the Eyewitness News Crew spotted cameras, a key pad and a dog guarding the property.

Investigators have not commented on the cause of the fire or if it’s related to the possible grow house. Investigators were still trying to track down the property owner on Friday night.
